The Inspiration Behind the Collages

Fractured Landscapes
We live and function in this world but rarely do we truly see what is around us. The buildings that we work in and walk by, the sidewalks and paths through flora- we don't take the time to see their essence; their beauty and life. We are all too busy to take the time and thus never really see these places.
This work is created so that we can all see these buildings and places as they should be seens - with the beauty and personality that each possesses.
My greatest influence is
Katie Pasquini Masopust who is a successful quilter. She uses fractured landscapes and ghost images in her work and is truly inspirational.
What has the Public said about my work?

The collages are beautiful! From a distance they remind me of a shell inlay with the different fractions of light & dark. My favorite is 'Lone Red' - I love that tree too!

I love your style of representation, especially the distortions in the landscapes particularly in the architechtural subjects.

Your work is very creative and makes you look closer and realize what you really don't see and as we pass many of these structures on campus. Good Work.

I love the trees, both 'Lone Red' & 'Willow'. But then again, maybe I'm just a tree hugger... Your work is a very interesting perspective on things and places we see everyday. Good Show!
